We are introducing a NEW CLASS on Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 6.45pm.
It will be a GENTLE/REMEDIAL yoga class.
The class will run for only 45 mins (other classes run for 90 mins) and although it is open to all students, it is particularly designed for those who would like to try yoga but feel that they are not "flexible enough", or are overweight, or over 50 years of age, or have chronic back or neck pain or recovering from an injury or even returning to yoga after having a baby.
This class will show you how to sit, stand and move with better alignment. You will be shown simple postures or exercises that will (if practised regularly) gradually retrain the body's bad habits accumulated over the years. You will be shown how to relax and breathe with more awareness.
Most people as we age, tend to have the misconception that the body falls apart. Of course it will IF YOU DON'T USE IT! If you don't service your car, it will fall apart...if you don't tend your garden it will go berserk with weeds...if your house is left uninhabited for a period of time dust and spiders collect...so too our bodies will deteriorate at a rapid rate without due care, attention and nurturing.
IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO START CARING FOR YOUR BODY!
